Bergen Kenny Woodbury
Bergen is a longtime media consultant focused on delivering wins for labor organizations and Democratic candidates. She has worked as a campaign operative, organizer, spokesperson and communications director for multiple Senators and members of Congress. During her time in the Senate she was part of the team that handled health reform, student loan reform and a federal investigation into for-profit colleges.
As a private consultant Bergen has written, directed and produced hundreds of television ads and direct mail pieces for Democratic candidates and organizations, and served as a media advisor to several state legislative caucuses. She has managed numerous legislative and congressional campaigns for Democrats across the country. Bergen was named a Rising Star by Campaigns & Elections magazine, one of the 40 Under 40 by the American Association of Political Consultants.
Jen Acker
Jen started her professional life organizing tax volunteers and recruiting low-income tax clients and corporate partners for a non-profit serving Chicagoland residents, before moving into political communications at a Chicago-based firm. Jen’s work there included independent expenditures for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential bid.
During law school, Jen worked for Attorney General Lisa Madigan, and after graduation in the Office of Governor Pat Quinn as Director of Legislative Affairs for the state regulatory agency. For the last several years, Jen has run successful communications strategy and media for contract and organizing campaigns across the country.
